Remix Fashion Show
Event Description
Shanghai, September 2009--
This summer, the level 6.1 fashion marketing students of Raffles Design Institute, Shanghai are preparing to rock the city with a fashion show themed “REMIX” on September 9th 2009 at 7:00 pm in Club SKY (Yu yao Road, Tong Le Fang). As part of their curriculum for Fashion Promotion and Coordination, students are organizing a fashion show to showcase the evolution of music and fashion from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and now. The aim of the show is to emphasize how music has influenced fashion in the past, present, and will continue to do so in the future.
Some of the event highlights include: live music performances from Sonnet, a local rock band; live DJ music-mixing show; surprise live dance performance; lucky draw, and most importantly a catwalk presentation of the clothing from American Apparel; a famous American brand known for its retro style and audaciously fashionable leggings; as well as designs from Lin, a successful alumni fashion design student from Raffles Design Institute.
